Are payslips mandatory for the DTV Visa in Thailand?

Hello, are payslips a mandatory requirement for the DTV Visa?

I am currently unemployed as I'm in the process of launching my own remote business so a regular income statement is not possible.

However, I have more than the equivalent of 500,000 baht in foreign currency in a bank account from my home country (Australia).

If anyone has any prior experience or advice that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV Visa application does not universally require payslips; however, there are specific conditions based on your employment status. If you are unemployed while applying through the remote work option, you are unlikely to qualify, as there is an expectation of having an established business for at least six months. Alternatively, you can apply for the DTV under the soft power category, such as Muay Thai or cooking, as long as you have the necessary funds (at least 500,000 baht) in your bank account.

You CAN'T be unemployed IF you're applying trhu the remote worker route, but you still can do it trhu the soft power route.

If you are unemployed you can apply DTV under soft power (Muay Thai/ cooking) as long as you have 500k under your name

You wont qualify for a DTV based on remote working, they will want to see an established business trading 6 months or longer

Maybe not a requirement across the board, but probably more embassy specific
