Hi, Iโ€™m coming over next year 30th of April to 27th of October. Iโ€™ll get. 60 day visa plus 30 for the 90 days. On my multiple entry visa application from Australia it asks for flight numbers for departure and return. I intend to do a border run after the first 90 days. Whatโ€™s the best way to fill in the form. Iโ€™ve tried to get in touch with the Thai embassy in Sydney but no luck. Thanks for any advice ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ

TLDR : Answer Summary

Community members provide insights on the visa types, the importance of timing for application, and alternative methods for showing intent to leave Thailand, suggesting that purchased tickets or simply indicating plans for a border run could suffice.

In the past I have used bus tickets out of Thailand within 60 days. It's been a few years but the last time I did it, I purchased tickets from Hat Yai to Penang ($12/USD).

For the 60 day visa your better off to make up flights within the 60 days. Although you can and rarely is it declined you can get the extension the visa is for 60 days. Look up dates and flights to suit. Sydney does not ask for proof of booked flights. Of course there will be people who have done dates outside of 60 days but I personally preferred to play it safe.

For METV some Embassies want flight ticket in and out of Thailand and another one back in otherwise they just give a single entry visa and no refunds.

Don't apply yet for an entry in April as your visa will be valid for 6 months from the date of issue. What you should do is find out typically your Consulate takes to approve a METV and apply for your Visa accordingly.

Are you applying for a single, that you are implying, or an actual multi-entry visa? There is a big difference.

the multi entry visa METV is good for 6 months from the time it is issued. Everytime you enter Thailand during that 6 months you get stamped in for 60 days, and can extend it for 30 days. If your timing is right you can stay almost 9 full months. If that is the one you are applying for just list any flight. You don't need a ticket. If you are applying for a single entry, for 60 days plus the 30 day extension, then you need some paid for exit out of Thailand
