VOA (visa on arrival) is currently 30 days, normally 15 days and is non covertable or extendable.
Visa exempt is current 45 days, normally 30 days.
Getting one of these is dependent on your passport.
Your profile says you are from loas. Loa passport holders are eligible for visa exempt at entry. As well under asean and special agreements.

It's the TAT who want it extended. Thai immigration want to put it back to 30 days. More people are staying a bit longer, but they're not extending. Bangkok is 25% down on tourism extensions. Immigration are losing too much money. Immigration don't give a stuff about TourismGiorgio *********
