Just some news about the Covid extension at Laksi Immigration center. Please this is not a debate of why we are applying for one Covid extension or if we are eligible to oneš
We got denied at Laksi immigration office by the ticket counter, to do Covid extensions because we did our last covid extension at Krabi immigration. We should return to the same place BUT if we are willing to pay 8000bath/person they can do it today for us in another officeā¦

TLDR : Answer Summary
Recently, an individual reported being denied a COVID extension at the Laksi Immigration Center due to having previously completed their extension at Krabi immigration. They were informed that to process their extension at Laksi, they would need to pay 8,000 THB per person. This sparked discussions in the comments about the legitimacy of these practices, with suggestions to check the TM30 form requirements and experiences of others facing similar situations. Some commenters recommended alternative options like the Thai visa center in Bangna, which offers similar services for 6,000 THB.
It's up to each immigration on how they wish to handle this, not all enforce things the same.
If you are in Bangkok for standard cases we offer full service 60 day covid visa extensions for 6,000 THB (this means our team will pickup your documents, obtain your extension, and then deliver your passport with the extension to your residence).
If anyone needs this type of service you can message our team via line (please note the last day is July 25th).

These extensions are not forever; sooner or later they will be no more. Get used to it.
Also about the TM30 : was at it square laksi last week and at the first counter where they check documents they removed my Tm30 form, donāt need. Then the officer never asked for it. But they tend to say to the people it will be the last application and you need to go home lol
Yes in Krabi they didnt even looked at the TM30ā¦

Something similar happened a month or so back where some people were told they had to go back to Phuket to get a further COVID extension because they had already.
If you donāt have much time left just go to Thai visa centre in Bangna, itās 6000thb right now for Covid extension, they handle everything for you. About chaeng watthana no there is nothing anymore since they moved their office to it square laksi. Another solution could be to do it in Pattaya but their reputation there isnāt betterā¦
Yes she also made some excuse like covid extension date is nearly finish which I donāt understand what it has to do with anything. I guess she ran out of excusesā¦

Thatās BS that you have to do a further extension at a previous office (unless itās the under consideration stamp closure). Sounds like a way to milk some tea money.
Clearly extortion but because the covid extension is discretionary, not sure if it's possible to do anything.
You could try telling them you have a TM30 for Bangkok (you do, right??) and if they don't change what they say, ask to speak to a supervisor.
You could also try making an appointment. I don't know about Laksi, but at Chaeng Watthana if you have an appointment you can skip the ticket counter altogether.
try the appointment maybe then? There are still some this week. Just walk past the ticket counter like you know where you are going and they may not even say anything. And if they do just say you have an appointment already.
My fathers gf is working for the government office in rayong. She was able to contact someone at the immigration office, and apparently they are willing to help us with the covid extension.ššš We will go there this week.
