Hello all, an info and a question.

With a visa exemption and a 30 days extension used, I applied for a Covid extension at Muang Thong Thani Inmigration Office (Bangkok) and they did not ask for the TM30 (I had it and they refused it).

Also they did not give me the extension right away, they stamped that I have to come back on 12 july to confirm that I get the visa.

I asked an official about this and he told me this is a common procedure and I don´t have to worry as very few people get rejected.

Did this happen to anybody?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual shares their experience of applying for a Covid extension at the Muang Thong Thani Immigration Office in Bangkok, where they were not asked for the TM30 form and received an 'under consideration' stamp with a return date for confirmation. Comments from others confirm this two-step process is common and not a cause for concern.

Okay, MOST immigration offices have been issuing the covid extensions (since they started issuing them) in two steps. You go apply, they issue you an "under consideration" stamp and then you go back to the immigration office on that date and get the extension stamp inked in. It is NOT strange, unusual or out of the ordinary.

Yes, it's extremely common. It's not something you should worry about :)

same for me. They did not ask for TM30 and I have to go back two weeks later to get my extension stamp.

Thank you very much. The guy sounded very honest and convincing, but I wanted to ask here anyway.
