Hi just to update anyone who needs a COVID extension at Krabi immigration. Went there this morning at 8.40am.was seen pretty much straight away. Just gave them my passport. Some one made copies of all the relevant passport stamps TM6 card etc. No charge. Had to fill out one form. Give address of my hotel and telephone number. Was given the option of paying 2000 bht for 15 days approval then go back for an extra 45 days. Or pay 3000 bht for the full 60 days. I opted for 15 days approval cos I might have to go back to UK sooner than expected. This was my first time asking for the said COVID extension. I hope this helps anyone.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A recent experience at Krabi immigration revealed a streamlined process for obtaining a COVID extension. The individual was quickly seen, required to submit their passport, and had copies made of necessary documents without any charge. They had to fill out a form with their accommodation details and were given options for a short-term extension: 2000 THB for 15 days or 3000 THB for a full 60 days. While it was noted that the 3000 THB fee may be considered excessive compared to the standard 1900 THB fee, the need for an extension often leaves individuals with limited choices. Several commenters provided insights about the fees and shared their experiences with Krabi immigration, highlighting the necessity of being prepared with appropriate paperwork, including a visa photo.

Has anyone done an OA (retirement) Visa extension on Krabi immigration? If so, when &, how was the experience ...

...& did they charge more than the official 1900 Baht for this extension?

Was paperwork needed as normal, or troublesome?

FYI: Up to July, 2022, Krabi immigration was still asking for the 1900 or 3000 baht expedited service...

I know I was overcharged. But what can you do if you need or want to stay longer you are kind of at that particular immigration office/officers mercy.

1900 baht isn't over charged, that's the price of an extension. The 3k baht for an "expedited" service is illegal.

0 but in two different banks thinking it would need to be in one however they said no prob just bring statements letters from bank no problem told me make sure I had at least 15 days left on visa if I wished to apply

Well they did charge you - over the odds as it is 1900 THB for an extension

So Krabi immigration is corrupt, good to know. That's why the Pai immigration office was banned from doing extensions last year because they were charging people 3k baht for them.
