No Idea what is going through the minds of immigration at Jomtien at the moment.
It seems they are trying to make sure there are huge amounts of people there everyday.
I went yesterday with a medical certificate from the hospital stating I need a 90 visa. They told me they only do 30 days now. So I opted for the 60 day covid extension. They took the payment etc and said return today to collect my passport. I get someone to collect my passport as I have a broken leg and it’s difficult to get around. They returned with the passport stamped ‘under consideration’. This happened last time I applied. Then when I returned on the given date (less than a month later) I was asked to leave my passport again and return the next day to collect it. So in order to obtain a 60 day extension, you have to attend the center 4 times with a large crowd of people with many who have no concept of personal space even in these crazy times!
The staff do a great job, it’s just confusing why they aren’t making things easier and safer for themselves.
