Hi everyone,

Its time for us to do our first Covid extension on friday.

- What do we need as documents? Are they the same as the 30 days extension?

- We did our our extension of visa exemption in Phuket. Is it possible to do our Covid extension somewhere else like in Krabi?

- Anyone been doing it in Krabi and can tell me if they have encountered any problems?

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the first COVID extension process for a visa in Thailand, asking about the required documents and the possibility of applying for an extension in Krabi after previously doing so in Phuket. Comments confirm that COVID extensions are still being issued, though experiences may vary, and that recent applicants in Krabi found the process smooth and quick, costing 1900 baht each.

UPDATES! COVID EXTENSION KRABI

We went this morning to Krabi immigration and everything went smoothly. In 30 min we were in and out. We paid 1900baht for each extension. However, we need to be back for a second stamp in about a month that he will stamp for another 45 days.

It’s at the appreciation of the immigration officer, it seems more and more difficult without a letter of your embassy and if you receive a refusal you have 7 days to leave the country

Are COVID extensions still being issued? As everywhere is opening up? For sure you are able to book a flight back home now can't you?

We just did it at Krabi and it took us 30 minutes. Just as we were leaving there were some people coming so I guess your timing. 30 min compare to Bangkok of 3-4 hours is great.πŸ™πŸ‘

There have been reports of denials, but it seems most places are still issuing them. Applicants have to sign a form to say they are unable to travel, which seems a bit strange, as everyone can travel. But ultimately it's up to the immigration officer sitting in front of the applicant

good luck with it, I was just asking a question. Surprised if these extensions are still being issued but realise I didn't answer your question. Keep us posted!
