Hi! I see many posts regarding insurance for tourist visa, but I'm a work permit holder in Thailand and apparently I need a one year insurance for Thailand pass application. Does anyone have any recommendation for the insurance please?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A work permit holder in Thailand inquired about health insurance requirements for the Thailand Pass application. Responses included that non-immigrant visa holders (except Non-OA) only need 30 days of coverage, while several insurance options were recommended, including Luma Health Insurance and Safety Wing, which offers monthly payments and prompt confirmation. Additionally, it was noted that if one pays taxes and contributes to social security, insurance may not be necessary.

Our company insurance runs from November-October. We have had people travelling in and out in August-September and the insurance is fine and accepted.

If you pay tax and SS you dont need insurance. Use your SS

You could get insurance with Safety Wing.. it’s pay monthly @ 42 USD per month and you get a confirmation letter 15 mins after buying. Cancel any time. The confirmation says it’s valid for 1 year from the date you purchase. I’ve just used it myself for the Thailand Pass.

Non immigrant visa holders (other than Non-OA) do NOT need 1 years coverage, 30 days is sufficient.

I hadn't heard this before, so I am on a 12 month Non O (Thai Wife) Visa, so to re-enter Thailand I would only need the $50,000 cover for 30 days?

I wish that's the case! Checked with the Thai Embassy in Singapore and they said it should be for a year 😭 my visa is only valid until July.

They lied, and the Thai embassy in Singapore doesn't issue Thaipass..

I hope you're right. I just wrote to Thailand pass to clarify. Hope they reply quickly.
