A simple heads up . . . The below sacred festival takes place this coming Saturday

24th Feb . . .

( I believe results in a complete 24hr ban on the sale of alcohol in shops, bars and restaurants)

Therefore if you are a rugby fan, get yer stocks in prior to another fine weekend of

6 Nations rugby ) . .๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿป๐Ÿป .

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post highlights that the sacred festival of Macha Bucha will occur on Saturday, February 24th, 2024, resulting in a complete 24-hour ban on alcohol sales in Thailand, starting from midnight Friday. Rugby fans are advised to stock up on drinks before this ban, as it overlaps with the 6 Nations rugby match between Scotland and England, which starts late Saturday night. Comments clarify the timing and even note that some vendors may still sell beer during the celebrations.

I know of vendors selling beer at Macha Bucha. I'm at the celebration in Nong Bua Yai now.

The ban is from midnight Friday to midnight Saturday...The Scotland v England rugby game starts at 2345 Thai time on Saturday so you will need to drink water or juice for the first 15 minutes ๐Ÿ˜€
