What should I consider when moving to Thailand on a DTV Work Visa during Songkran?

Moving to Thailand straight off the bat on a DTV Work Visa. I plan to visit and shop Condos once I arrive on Apr 2nd-- but I wonder how long it would take to settle in, since Songkran happens in about a week after I arrive. What does work hours look like, as well as general services around the city? I assume everyone might be on holidays.

Does anyone have any perspective or advice on my course of action?

I've booked a comfy hotel for 2 weeks, But I think I may need to extend it to a month.

My work involves a stationary computer and desktop setup with microphone and multiple screens, so I'm trying not to move around too much.

Thank you for any thoughts!

Songkran lasts different periods in different places but most is the main 13th to 15th. Pattaya goes on to the 19th. People will be travelling home or around from the Thursday/ Friday 10th or 11th. The public holiday is till Wed 16th inc. Many will take the whole week off.

As for looking for a condo if you arrive 2nd and have idea of budget, area and facilities you can find somewhere quickly. Try to engage a local agent up front and make a list of requirements. I put things like 1) fast Internet 2) Govt rate electricity 3) Agent/Landlord must complete TM30 4) Space for desk/workstation etc etc. This last move I told the agent I would use her and not engage others. Seemed to make a difference.
