Is it advisable to get an METV for multiple trips to Thailand within a year on a visa-exempt basis?

Hello all
I usually travel twice a year to Thailand on a visa exempt, travelling from Australia.  Never had an issue as duration is 3 or 4 weeks each stay. Real tourist here.

This year, I want to travel 3 or 4 times but think this might be pushing it with visa exempt each time. I'm wondering if it's worth getting METV for this year or the IO will still be happy with visa exempt, given I've had short stays only?

This is the accurate answer to your question. If your trips are 3 or 4 weeks at a time, then you can do as many as you want, no problem.

Aussie here too. If you get a questionable officer, even 2-3 entries could result in a refusal of entry via visa exempt. The only way to GUARANTEE entry via visa exempt is to use a Safe Entry service.

It can be what ever, read so many times now that immigration tells you to get a visa if travel often.

So if you plan doing 4 times instead of the 2 that they allow then go 2 first times on exemption rule and then the 3-4 time you apply for a tourist visa for an example.
