hello , I have a question about Non immigrant O visa .
Im married with a foreigner and we would like to get Non immigrant O visa for him. As he quit his job and has moved to Thailand for awhile now . Now im the only one who work . I heard that people told me in case of male foreigners who marry thai women must have 400 000 thb in the bank account. In another way , female foreigners dont have to have that much money if thai men get good salary. Is it true ? sounds unfair as Im a doctor and i earn good and stable income. But the immigrant dont count on me as i am a woman....
TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the financial requirements for a foreign male applying for a Non-Immigrant O visa based on marriage to a Thai national. It appears that foreign men must typically show evidence of either 400,000 THB in a bank account or a minimum monthly income of 40,000 THB, which many find unfair when compared to the requirements for foreign women married to Thai men, who usually do not have the same financial constraints. However, several participants mentioned that it is possible to obtain this visa from consulates in Savannakhet, Laos, or Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, without presenting financial documentation.
