Hi, I have a quick question. I'm a Romanian citizen, and have been in Thailand for one year on SETV. Given that for Romanians visa on arrival is only 15 days with 7 days extension I don't do border runs. Hence I fly out of the country every 3 months, and I now have 4 SETVs in my passport, two obtained in Beijing, two in Vientiane. I know Vientiane is the easiest place one can get a new SETV (no questions asked, no bank account statement) but I'm a bit scared not to push it and get a red stamp. What is the next easiest place to get a new SETV (need to fly out beginning of January) and what are the requirements (if they require a bank account statement what is the minimum amount required and so on) and the procedure. Thank you in advance for your kind advice.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Romanian citizen in Thailand on a SETV is seeking guidance on the easiest locations to obtain a new SETV for their upcoming travel in January. They have already acquired multiple SETVs in Vientiane and are concerned about potential issues at immigration. Recommendations include the Thai consulates in Yangon, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and the ease of obtaining a visa should the applicant meet the necessary requirements such as bank account statements and proof of onward travel.

Just out of curiosity; how did you obtain the tourist visas in Beijing? Are you a resident in China? As others have mentioned, Yangon, Hanoi, HCMC, and Hong Kong are other options.

As i understand you do not get a red stamp at the embasy when you make a visa

It is when you return to thailand at the passport control you risk getting a red stamp

Nope, this is an example of the red stamp and it is done by the Thai Consulate if they think you use to many Tourist Visa to live inside Thailand.

Any consulate is easy IF you meet the requirements.

I'd say try the thai consulate in Yangon Myanmar, or the ones in either Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam. You will have to show a bank account and proof of onward travel but there are no reports of people getting denied there with multiple tourist visas in their passports.

It's saying for you to either (basically)

1. Have a letter from your employer OR;

2. Information about your company (if you own your own company),

All what you need to do is to call up the company you work for, and have them write up a letter saying you work for them, how many years you work for them, that you have permission for your holiday between dates X and Y, and to call them if there are questions.

Easy, I think.
