Hi.

I'm in Thailand right now (Udon thani region) on setv issued at the Thai Embassy of Sweden and the extension of stay will be finished at 19th October.

I want to get a new setv when this one is finished so that I can stay here over Christmas & Happy new year but from what I've seen here they've made everything a lot harder in Vientiane, so my question is:

Where would be the best place for me to go if I want to get a new setv visa, Savannakhet?

My passport is new so it only has the visa I'm here on in it plus the extension of stay stamp.

Best regards

Henrik

Answer summary

Henrik, currently in Udon Thani on a SETV issued at the Thai Embassy in Sweden, is seeking advice on the best location to apply for a new SETV visa after his extension expires on October 19th. He expresses concerns about the difficulties reported in Vientiane and is inquiring whether Savannakhet would be a suitable alternative for his visa application to allow him to stay in Thailand over the Christmas and New Year period.
