Hello gents, I hope I can get your professional advice. I am currently in Chiang Mai about to do my visa run to laos. I am of venezuelan nationality(South America) and I already have 2 single entry tourist visas which I got at the Thai consulate in Lebanon since it's where I live. The first I used for 15 days and the 2nd one I'm currently on. I've been in Thailand for a total of about 2.8 month. Both my visas have no remarks whatsoever. So I was wondering what documents do I need to apply for an setv in Vientiane? Will their be a problem acquiring my 3rd setv from Vientiane since I already have 2? I have 27000 in cash with me now,a flight ticket back to my country of stay and condo rental contract for a condo in Chiang Mai and a bank statement with more than 60000 baht but the bank statement is from July 10. Any advice would be appreciated since I'll be applying on Monday at Vientiane

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, a Venezuelan national currently in Chiang Mai, is seeking advice on the documents required to apply for a third Single Entry Tourist Visa (SETV) in Vientiane after having already held two tourist visas. They inquire about potential issues with obtaining the third SETV based on their prior visa history. Comments indicate minimal documentation requirements at the Thai consulate in Vientiane, stressing that proof of funds, rental contracts, or onward travel is unnecessary, and only a few basic documents are required for application.

Okay the thai consulate in Vientiane does NOT require proof of funds, proof of a rental contract or confirmed lodging OR proof of onward travel

You just show up, turn in your passport, the application, two passport sized photos, copies of the data page of your passport and your lao visa and entry stamp. When you pick up the passport the next afternoon you pay the 1000baht.

You won't have ANY problem at all

i have one more question. Is it okay to download the application from the Thai embassy website beforehand in order to be ready beforehand? 2nd question is that on the application it says address of country of residence, and well I'm a venezuelan living and working in Lebanon, that's how I got 2 tr visas from Lebanon. So should I state that as my address or do I stay my address in venezuela?

Ur 2 setv are not from Vientiane consulate, it could be a issue only if u apply multiple time in a row in the same consulate.

Also keep in mind that to enter Laos u will need to pay for a *visa on arrival* at the border. The price depend on ur nationality (unlucky canadian here pay $42 usd) but every other country it's less. Bring USD and not thai baht as they will overcharge you otherwise. For ur 1k baht setv thai baht only.

Also in Laos u can pay in thai baht everywhere u go and the exchange rate they use is almost non-existent. Just make sure you know the xe.com conversion rate, if u feel like a small shop try to rip u off go elsewhere.
