Hello! Would be very grateful for your advises with SETVs. Which country would be the best to get one more SETV with the following history. I’m thinking also about Vientiane, as it is easy to get there.

Ukrainian passport holder.

2018-2020

- 1SETV issued in Ukraine (2 months) + its extension at the immigration in Chiang Mai (1 months) - 2018

- Went to Laos, then to Vietnam for 2,5 months.

-Came to Phuket with 1SETV issued in Hanoi (2 months) in 2018 + its extension at the immigration in Phuket (1 month) in 2019

- Went to Penang and get one more SETV (2 months) in 2019

- Returned to Ukraine for 7 months.

- 1SETV issued in Ukraine + its extension at the immigration in Chiang Mai (this extension ends on Jan 20).

Many thanks in advance!

The Thai Elite Visa is a good choice if you and husband want to live in Chiang Mai ...5 years 500,000 + 300,000 for spouse.

You ask about ONE MORE SETV...tourist visa...May I ask...

Just how long do you really plan to stay/live in Thailand ?

If you really only need one more SETV...

No need to seek another visa.

Just use a border run...twice gets you 30 days each one plus added 30 days each extension of stay obtained at Thai Immigration..1,900 Thai baht each. That gives you up to 4 more months living in Chiang Mai...and no real risk of denial of another Tourist Visa or at airport upon seeking reentry.

Oh, god, why we decided to come to Thailand in such not an easy time 😞 So Cambodia is even worse than Laos?

Ok, will be waiting for an advice from Amornrat about Vientiane.

, want to double check. So it’s better to make a border run now and extend it (this will be 2 months). After we will go to Vietnam. And want to get SETV in HCMC, I heard they are not so strict (this will give 3 months). And after to make one more border run and extend it (this will give 2 months).

Or do you mean that HCMC won’t give us visas too with our history?

Thank you a lot for a quick reply! Actually no, my husband isn’t employed in Thailand. He don’t work here on any project. We are in Thailand just because decided to spend some time in Asia before moving to USA. As for how long we want to stay here, we were thinking two more month now, then to go to Vietnam for 1 month and then come back for 4-5 more months. And then to leave Thailand at all. As we have no intentions to stay here longer.

Savannakhet

Tourist Visa, apply if you stayed less than 90 days in past 6 month (they count time spend under any visa), show own Thai Book Bank with balance THB 20,000.- up OR print out from your Bank account from home country value USD 700.-up. Onward air ticket or Rental Contract not required.

Vientianne Maybe...maybe Not.???

Tourist Visa, if you had previously some Tourist visas your application will be considered more carefully. Vientiane is now asking for proof of funds, Book Bank with balance THB 20,000.- up OR print out from Bank account from home country value USD 700.-up. Onward air ticket is not required, but prepare Rental Contract.

So if we have such proofs the chances are bigger? What you mean under rental agreement? Do we need to show a hotel booking?

Is your husband employed in Chiang Mai? If he has a Thai work permit it may be possible for you to get a proper visa to live in Thailand.

I would not suggest any Laos Thai Consulates with your recent history. Savannakhet for sure is a NO.

Lets ask
