Hello everyone,
I just returned from a trip from Bangkok, this time I entered the country by land (from Cambodia with a cambodian passport) to visit some friends. As I remember from my previous trips I had a 14 days visa, but this time I’m a bit confused as of the stamps on my passport. Is it a mistake from the immigration officer ? Because the date mentioned on the stamp doesn’t make sense (18/03 till 16/05).
Kind regards.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster (OP) entered Thailand by land from Cambodia and was issued a visa stamp that appears to grant a 60-day stay instead of the previously expected 14 days. This confusion stems from changes in Thai immigration rules effective from July 15, 2024, which extended the visa exemption period for Cambodian passport holders. Earlier stamps indicated 15-day entries, but the new policy now allows 60-day entries for many countries, including Cambodia, at land border crossings.
