Is there anyone on here that has returned to Thailand from India ?

A little about my situation. I'm a UK passport holder stranded in India. I'm currently in Goa. When I contact embassy Delhi they reply immediately but don't answer my questions in regard to STV or OA application, they reroute me to Mumbai as Goa falls into there jurisdiction. Approximately 10 emails later and Mumbai don't acknowledge/reply to your emails. My local vfs office is closed and I tried to contact with vfs Mumbai and getting the same response as the embassy. I seem to be running around in circles. 🤔🤔🤔🤔

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK passport holder currently stranded in Goa, India, is seeking help regarding visa applications (STV or OA) to return to Thailand. The individual has faced difficulties contacting the embassy and VFS, receiving little to no reply. Commenters suggest exploring the eVisa website for options, consider entering Thailand under the visa exemption rule, and addressing the visa situation upon arrival in Thailand.

Sounds like India.

As a British passport holder, you can now travel to Thailand without the need for a visa with the Visa exemption rule.

thanks Karim. Yes I understand this but then still face the challenge of converting the exempt to something more permanent after quarantine. Obviously it would just make life less worrisome if I arrive without the uncertainties.

it’s not a terribly difficult process to change in country. By the sound of it, you’re seeming to have many problems attaining the relevant visa from Goa. Perhaps it would just be easier for you to get to Thailand and then deal with the visa, later.

Man I wish we could trade places lol. I'd kill to be stranded in Goa.

Goa in fairness apart from an initial strict lockdown has been business as usual. Everything open. The biggest issue is that the whole of India is visiting Goa as nobody's flying abroad. Its mental, constant traffic and chaos.

Have you tried the eVisa website?. You can input your country of residence and your citizenship and it will give you visa options. If you don't have access to an embassy to affix your visa, you might just have to do the COE online and come in on a visa exempt basis, and sort out a non-O when you get here

thanks for the info, according to evidence page I'll be unable to apply for either stv or non o as I'm not a permanent resident of country I'm applying from.

Chaz Challenger. So your options are to go to another country to apply for a visa, or apply for a COE from where you are, come in on visa exempt and get a different visa once you're here

You won't be able to get STV from India unless you have residency there.
