Hi guys, not sure if this has always been the case but the Belgian embassy is now requiring proof of booking for at least half a stay, when applying for a 60-day tourist visa.
Honesty due to all uncertainties, I am not really comfortable booking a 30-day stay in advance already. Can I also enter Thailand with a 30-day visa on arrival, an extend 2 times to a total of 90 days? Or is the only option to stay 90 days, the 60-day single entry visa + a 30 day extension locally?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the recent requirement from the Belgian embassy for proof of booking for a 60-day tourist visa to Thailand, expressing discomfort with booking a stay in advance. They seek clarification on whether they can enter Thailand on a 30-day visa exemption, extend it to 90 days, or if they should pursue the 60-day tourist visa with a local extension option. Comments suggest using a visa exemption for the initial entry and possibly a 60-day tourist visa with extensions, while some recommend making refundable bookings for visa applications.
