I'm after the latest advice please... From my understanding I still need Covid Insurance but not a PCR Test for transitting through Thailand if I am vaccinated. I will however have a PCR test as my final destination requires it.

I fly through (transit only - Same ticket, but different Airline)

21MAY PHNOM PENH PNH / BANGKOK BKK 19:25/20:40

22MAY BANGKOK BKK/ADDIS ABABA ADD 01:50/06:30

So I am in BKK for approximately 5 hours, I still need covid insurance? If so, can you recommend the best option as I've heard only some are acceptable?

Do I need Thailand Pass also?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on the current requirements for transiting through Bangkok, Thailand, as an vaccinated traveler. They inquire if Covid insurance is still necessary for a short transit stay and if a Thailand Pass is required. A comment suggests that the need for the Thailand Pass depends on whether the traveler will need to collect baggage or check-in for the next flight, as crossing immigration would mandate more requirements.

Do you need to collect your bags and check them in at Bangkok, or do you need to leave the secure area and go back out to the check-in area to check yourself in for the next flight? If either of those then you'll be crossing immigration and entering Thailand and you'll need a Thailand Pass and all other requirements that comes with.

If not, then you only need insurance and no Thailand Pass.

yes they do and for commercial reasons they always advise AXA what is almost 5 times more expensive then FWD 650 bath for a month. I suspect that this whole insurance thing is a little site income for the generals
