TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about obtaining a 60-day Thai travel visa online, requested information on visa application processes, and asked whether insurance is required for entry into Thailand. Additionally, they wanted to know if financial proof is necessary. Several comments clarified that as a US passport holder, the user is eligible for an e-visa, which can be applied for online at the official Thai e-visa website. They were also informed about potential changes to visa durations and necessary documentation when applying from abroad.

Try a 90 day non immigrant visa

We can't answer any of your questions without knowing the country of your passport and what country you are physically in.

Not every country uses e-visa yet so you'd need to check to see if the consulate in your country uses it.

yeah, sorry, forgot to mention. USA

then you are ONLY able to use evisa as the consulates in the US don't accept anything else. But the US has 4 consulates so when they ask for proof of residence they are asking you to prove you live in the zone for the consulate you chose in the evisa. They want a driver's license or utility bill with your address on it.

sure, I can show my DL, however, I am not in the US now, I am in Europe. So how would that work then

you have to apply where you are at physically because they will want to see a plane ticket from where you apply to Thailand. So you'll need to find out if the consulate where you are at uses evisa and if they accept applications from non-citizens.

TR visa online. Just Google thai e-visa. I did mine few weeks ago it was only 2 days to get mine. And you can extend for extra 30 days for 1900 baht in any immigration office

45 days if eligible for visa exempt entry but still 30 day extension and not 45.

it's not published yet in the royal gazette so it's still not official

The Royal Gazette is a rubber stamp. It's already been announced by the government. 45 days visa exempt from October 1st, or 30 days Visa On Arrival
