TLDR : Answer Summary
When crossing from Cambodia to Thailand, tourists are allowed a stay of 45 days if entering under visa exemption, depending on their nationality. Those with a 60-day tourist visa may stay for that duration. Additionally, a 30-day extension can be obtained under certain conditions. It's important to consider recent entry history, as past Covid extensions may affect entry options.

Depending on your recent entry history and whether you’ve had Covid extensions before you may want to consider the Laos border crossings instead. Many reports of issues with Cambodia ones especially Poi Pet.

land border, the bus goes from pattaya thai to the border which is 4 hour journey - 10 hour round trip as 2 breaks. You get 45 days which you can then extend 30 so 75 total.

Length of permitted stay is determined by your passport nationality, not where you are coming from, unless you have a 60 day tourist visa already granted by a Thai embassy/consulate.

Crossing from Cambodia to Thailand on a tourist visa you’d get 60 days.

However by your question I’m assuming you mean entering visa exempt - as in you have no visa. If so you’d currently get 45 days if you’re from one of the eligible exempt entry countries. You can get a 30 day extension off of that.

Just to check that you can indeed enter visa exempt what is your passport country?

yes. All that changed was they made it 45 days instead of 30 days.

Cambodia border crossings can have issues in themselves though
