What are the current requirements for filing a 90-day report in Thailand, especially after traveling within the country?

Hello everyone,

Quick question cause I’m a bit confused. Been living in Thailand for a while now and we’re used to the 90-day report process.

Last time we travelled out of Thailand was in Dec 2024, did our 90-day at Chaengwattana in March 2025 and only travelled to an island in Thailand in April.

We tried doing our 90-days report online and it was rejected under the reason “For first-time requests of a 90-day notification in each country visit, in-person presentation at the immigration office is required.”

Do they now consider travelling outside of your region travelling outside Thailand?

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user expressed confusion about the rejection of their online 90-day report submission, noting recent travel within Thailand and questioning if leaving for an island affects the 90-day reporting process. Comments indicate this rejection is not uncommon, with suggestions related to required TM30 filings and experiences of others facing similar issues.

Did you file a new TM30 after you returned home? Some immigration offices require this for even 1 night in a hotel

I'm in CM and I also got rejected online after a hotel stay locally. When I went down to the office, they said I shouldn't have been rejected. Oh well, I'm retired and they have a drive thru, so I just go through that every 90 days now

They do not, but this is not an isolated case and people who have done a 90 day report in person after coming back into the country have reported being denied when reporting the second time.

IF you're still within the window to apply (which seems to be from 2 weeks before down until 1 week before at some offices) all you can do is file another 90 day online.

Once I had to file FOUR times (got 3 rejections) until it went thru and was approved (I still don't know why)

I’ve tried a second time but then too late, the new reason was “7 days before due date” now I have to go to immigration again… extremely annoying.

Thank you all, I’ll keep in mind that I have to force things to happen next time 😓

yep, that "7 days before the due date" is now a reason many people get rejected
