TLDR : Answer Summary
An Australian expat currently residing in the Philippines is seeking advice on traveling to Bangkok after October 1st, including affordable quarantine hotel options for a 7-day stay, visa requirements (specifically about the Visa on Arrival and Certificate of Entry), and if they need to have 100,000 THB in their bank account. Respondents are advising the user to wait for updates on travel regulations, consider the sandbox program in Phuket for more freedom, and suggest obtaining a checklist from the local Thai embassy for updated travel requirements.

You are better off going to Phuket for the sandbox at least you'll have a bit of freedom without losing your shirt on an asq quarantine we stayed at the Marriott in Merlin Beach and for the two of us it was $855 for 14 nights including food not including the covid tests.

You will have to wait till the 7 days is approved and then see what offers are available. By wednesday should know all the details.

Yes you can get visa on arrival, i imagine the COE system will still be in place, so will need apply.

Dont think Phillipines is on list yet to be able to do sandbox as it does work out cheaper coming that way.
