TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a multiple entry retirement visa at Lak Si, one begins by applying for a 90 day Non-O visa for 2000 Baht. After receiving this visa, the next step involves applying for a yearly extension of stay at 1900 Baht, followed by a multiple re-entry permit for 3800 Baht. The total cost for these procedures amounts to 7700 Baht, excluding mandatory financial requirements.

, you would first apply for a 90 day Non-O visa when you have at least 15 days left on your current "admitted until" stamp. That costs 2000baht, and then you go back in two weeks and get it and a new 90 day stamp inked into your passport.
Then you'd wait until you have 30 days left on that new 90 day stamp and apply for a yearly extension of stay for 1900baht and once you got that (they're issued the day you apply) then you'd apply for a multiple re-entry permit for 3800baht.
So all in the hard costs at the immigration office are 7700baht
Of course it goes without saying you need to meet the financial requirements which are 800K baht in a thai bank account in your name for 60 days before you apply, or a letter from your consulate stating you get 65K baht a month in income or a combination of banked money and the consulate letter that totals 800K baht for the year.

Seeing as there is no such thing as a multi-entry retirement visa gotten from inside the country, lets see what you're actually wanting to do?
The way it works is
a 90 day Non-O visa is 2000 baht
a one year extension of stay is 1900baht
a multiple re-entry permit is 3800baht
What visa do you have now?

I know a LOT of people who've used visa agents and they get exactly what you get if you follow the time lines in the rules and meet the requirements. They just get it faster and pay a lot more money for it.
I have also seen a LOT of people do it themselves and do just fine.

out at Chaengwattana Immigration's you would first apply for a 90 day Non-O visa at section C-1. If you are using banked money you need to show the money was transferred in from abroad. If you are using a notarized letter from your consulate for income from abroad you need to show documentation to back up the amount on the letter in the form of bank statements, etc.
Good Luck.

Tod Daniels we meet all the requirements so that is not a hassle. We will see how we go tomorrow. We really want to do it ourselves just to know that it is not shonky on our side of the fence. Have heard and seen what you described in your comment and that is why we do not want to use lawyers.
, he probably paid quite a bit for it :( Mostly because some lawyers grease the wheels at the immigration office so that a person gets the Non-O, the yearly extension and the re-entry permit all on the same day without having to follow the real rules as far as the timeline. Other law firms even put the money in a bank account for you to meet the financial requirements. :/

Tod we have a 6month multiple entry tourist visa at the moment of which is about to run out. I was informed by a friend who has got a retirement visa that he has a multiple entry retirement visa and was not sure how much he paid for it as he done it through a lawyer. We need a multiple entry retirement visa as we move in and out of the country quit often.
