The fee for the initial Non Immigrant O visa is 2.000 Thb and you will get 90 days of stay. After 60 days you can apply for the Extension of Stay for a fee of 1.900 Thb, for this application you need the same papers. As I understand people use the phrase retirement visa but that does not exist in Thailand, it is an Extension of Stay based on being over 50 years of age. Some people also call the Non Immigrant Visa retirement visa to make it even more confusing.

Robert , I find this visa process so daunting . This visa you talk of above would be ideal for me , could you point me in the right direction for more information etc .
