What are the best ways to provide proof of accommodation for a Thai visa application when I haven't booked a place yet?

What i did was book a room for 3 weeks on agoda . Write a cover letter saying you will be looking for a rental afterwards. Cancel the booking once you've sent it .

Book something short term that you can cancel. Also, it’s not a good idea to enter into a long term rental agreement or lease before you get to Thailand. Do it when you get there.

It's a weird quirk of the visa but basically problem solving skills would tell you to book somewhere you can cancel

You can also just book a hotel, download the booking and cancel same day.

Why do people continuously overcomplicate things. Just book a hotel or Airbnb with free cancellation, what's the issue 🤷🏽

Which DTV did you apply for? And what was the additional documentation’s they asked for that you thought was the same as you already submitted?

We got asked 3 times for more info from london embassy 🥴🤦‍♀️

In your covering letter which I suspect from the London embassy was one of the additional request, I would include your plan, so explain you haven’t booked accommodation yet as you were awaiting visa approval prior to making a final booking. I would suggest not stating you are going for a 12 month lease as it’s a maximum of 180 per year (I understand you can extend or leave and return and be granted an additional 180 days but that’s not guaranteed so I would advise to state it in the additional information. I would place a map of the area you plan to stay and the reasons why (food, shopping or other legal activities) then show some rental accommodation from a local Thai website as examples of where you may rent.

With regards to you other additional information that seems repeated it’s not, what they are asking for is further detail or more documentation as the first submission wasn’t enough, if you issue the same you could be rejected. Any questions just ask, I did mine through London alone no agent and was approved within a week.
