Hey everyone 🙂

Flying to Vietnam this week to submit my DTV.

Don’t mind where to stay, Hanoi or HCM.

Flights to Da Nang are a bit cheaper, but I heard Hanoi Consulate process the applications a bit faster.

Anyone has any experience to share?

I believe technically you're supposed to apply in HCMC if you're in Denang. They will want your address in Vietnam so best to check on the embassy website and apply in the correct embassy for where your hotel address will be.

It's currently Vietnam new year so all closed for the week, better to wait until February but expect a delay due to a back log

Plus you can apply in da Nang to either HCMC or Hanoi. Only matters if you get requested for interview.

so you can stay in another town? It doesn’t need to be Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh? (Do a lot of people get requested for interview? I’m on crutches so probably best to stay in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh?)

- Every province is assigned to one of the two consulates. I believe DaNang is assigned to HCMC.
