TLDR : Answer Summary
The best way to apply for a DTV visa (Digital Nomad Visa) as a remote worker in Vietnam is to apply online rather than at a consulate. Users recommend applying through the online portal at https://www.thaievisa.go.th/ after arriving in Vietnam. If you are staying in Da Nang, you still need to apply online, as your application is processed based on your location within Vietnam.

I heard you need to show proof of stay in the city where you apply, hcm or hanoi. But I see many people staying somewhere at the beach and apply from there..

you won't go to ANY consulate, you'll go to Vietnam and then apply online using the eVisa online program depending on where you stay IN Vietnam

These places use Hanoi (everyone else uses HCMC)
