TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around finding Covid insurance options for a UK citizen planning a 60-day trip to Thailand on a tourist visa. Suggestions include Arawan Namak for monthly policies, recommendations from the Royal Thai Embassy, and various insurers like Bupa and Safetywing. Many commenters emphasize the need to shop around for better deals, especially for younger travelers. Some recommend using comparison sites for insurance rates that cover Covid-19. A number of specific insurers and their approximate monthly costs (e.g., Bupa, Luma, and Ooms insurance) are mentioned.

If you're in the UK use the insurance comparison offer annual or single trip with the vast majority covering Covid at competitive rates I dont see the problem

Bupa does one on a month by month basis, last quote I got was $450 USD a month. I've heard it gone down a little since then.

yes, being held to ransom. Bupas reputation is poor in Australia. Since I had this quote other companies are now starting to offering more realistic deals.

The Bupa one is a Global comprehensive one, insanely expensive but a friend of mine had no choice when he returned a couple of months back. Its also age dependant.

I just tried that one from Embassy to compare against what i actually bought and found it expensive.

Not sure what it meant by country of origin, either country i was travelling from or personal origin.

If from Singapore
*****
baht.

If from UK
*****
Baht.

But these are purely for covid insurance.

I bought years insurance to cover all of Asean excluding Singapore as I have work Insurance there. It was
*****
baht but that covers other normal things for hospital bills etc and other countries within Asean which hopefully will be able to start travelling next year.

Best to shop around especially if you are young you can get a lot better deals than what is on the RTE website.

The RTE in London has this one, covid19.tgia.org

But it doesn't have "tourist visa" under the insurance options...

@Arawan ******
is now doing monthly insurance that meets the covid requirements. Also i noticed few good ones on farangs stranded abroad for Citizens going from there own countries. There was one good one in UK linked to a online banking system that was about 9 pounds a month. Cannot recall name now

But thought read before you planning to travel in March ?
