Hi Guys ,

Few questions regarding 1-year extension

obtaining Non-O marrage visa in BKK (CW).

1- how long before expiration of current visa can I apply (30 days or 45 days) ?

2- should I book time online?

3- any new requirements (changed from last years) ? please provide the link to latest requirements .

Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the procedures for applying for a 1-year extension of a Non-O marriage visa in Bangkok. Key points include the application timeline (45 days or less before expiration), the inability to book appointments for marriage extensions, and recent insights about requirements that must be confirmed on-site at the Chaengwattana immigration office. Just last week, the CW immigration officer gave me a handout for latest requirements for "IN COUNTRY" Non-O Supporting Thai Wife visa extension. I've attached the English portion. The IO stressed not to touch the Baht 400k in the bank and told me to bring my wife when I come in for the extension. Again, I stress the "In country" Non-O. YMMV

1 - in bangkok you can apply when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp

2 - you cannot book an appointment for a marriage extension

3 - there is no "link to the latest requirements"

We tell people to just suck it up, take your thai wife and GO to the immigration office at Chaengwattana before you need to get your extension to get the current hand out
