Question: I am trying to get my 3 month non-o (retirement) extended by 12 months. I checked the official Immigration website for necessary documents (see link), but under no 22 they mention neither TM.30 nor that you must present a lease contract. However, I have heard from people that they have been asked for both. So this is very confusing if you cannot even trust Immigration‘s own website. Does anyone know from practical experience what they ACTUALLY want to see when you go to get the extension? Many many thanks - I am getting more confused by the hour…
TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirements for extending a 3-month Non-O retirement visa in Thailand can vary by immigration office. While the official website may not specify all necessary documents, practical experiences suggest that applicants should prepare a TM30 form, a lease agreement, the landlord's ID, a copy of the landlord's house book or land ownership certificate, proof of bank stability (such as bank statements), and potentially other documents like rent receipts and identification photos. Since local immigration offices may have unique requirements, it is recommended to confirm the necessary documents with the office where the application will be submitted.
