What are the common issues when submitting a DTV visa application photo in Thailand?

Hi hope everyone is well. I'm applying my DTV visa from London, UK. Submitted all my documents on Monday. Got an email regarding 'Request for Further document' -Photograph taken within the last six months.: - Please use your mobile phone to take a selfie photo in plain white background and close up your head and top of your shoulders.(Your face must be clear and in focus and take up 70–80% of the photo.).

orginally I had uploaded passport photo I had taken 3 months ago. Not sure why this was not acceptable. Anyhow, I'm having issues submitting the the uploaded photo. It says I've submitted but when I refresh, the application seems to be stuck on processing with message "There is an application that requires your attention. Please click the icon with a red dot."

Anyone else experience this, at one point I did see a "The team is fixing and updating the system." message, when I refreshed.

Thanks,

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is experiencing difficulties with their DTV visa application process, specifically related to the submission of a selfie photo that meets specific requirements set by the Thai authorities. After submitting a passport photo taken three months ago, the user received a request for a recent selfie on a plain background. They also mention technical issues with the application portal, which shows a processing message and requires their attention. Other users have commented with tips on ensuring the photo's file size is appropriate and the importance of the photo quality for long-term visa identification.

Make sure you look nice in the photo, it’s the one they put on your visa

Sincerely, someone who uploaded a bad selfie because they thought it was just to check you still looked like the photo, and is now stuck with it for 5 years

Solid advice, thanks

Make sure your camera resolution isn't too high making a large picture file, Thai IT systems barf with uploaded files bigger than a few hundred kilobytes.

The issue was with there system not the resolution. I had to call the embassy and they had to cancel the request and manually process it. All good now, thanks
