ANYONE BEEN ACCCEPTED A THIRD TIME????

DTV JAKARTA! Workcation: I work online with my own personal training/nutrition business.

First application; rejected. Likely as my savings weren't seasoned.

Second application; approved but for METV :( So devastated!

Meeting with an agent to discuss future options but feeling very disheartened. I think that maybe my cover letters mentioned tourism alongside my work, when I should have made it more of a "work" focus.

Anyone else been in this situation?

I used a step by step guide that had letter templates and checklists that made it really easy to go through the process, and it was very affordable, compared to agent charges. It has all the steps of what to include, so nothing was missed.

I estimate it saved me about 10+ hours of my time not having to create and research it all myself!

Got my visa in 4 business days.

PM me and I can share the link with you!

Well, you have METV visa, so I guess you should be happy with it cuz you won’t get any other visa until this one expires. And don’t be so sure that your future husband’s application gets approved. There are just a bit too many “what ifs”

2nd one for metv? why? You're applying for the DTV, right? That's a totally different visa.

Have the 500K baht in your personal bank account for at least 3 months. That is overall the rule. It's not that complicated.

Somone just posted approval on their 3rd attempt in Hanoi. Consider applying in a different location to JKT.

They gave me METV instead of DTV

You can either use the METV or email them to cancel it and re-apply. Using soft power activity like Muaythai with a strong school dealing with DTV will help.

I totally get it 😛

Then why not applying for a METV visa ? Much less complicated and far less hassles … Just sayin’… People love to complicate their life out of severe boredom 🙄

What comes on my mind:

1. You income is too low for 5 years here, rather will sustain half a year that’s why they gave tourist visa

2. You didn’t provide long term rent contract and showed hotel booking

3. You didn’t mention traveling around whole Thailand and certain destinations, so half a year seems to be enough for your visit.

Yes, I was accepted for DTV in 2020 for the first time before anyone knew this visa exist. Then in 2025 and they confirmed that I will be accepted again in 2030 even if I don't meet criteria. So yes, I'm accepted DTV for third time 🥇 🥈 🥉

Mentioning tourism would be of concern. Issue of the 6 mth METV often given as the application does not indicate a need to be in Thailand longer than that. Approvals have been given on the 3rd attempt. you can find such posts in the threads. The METV enables you to stay around 8mths..

Have the last 2 applications been to the same consulate? My application was rejected when I applied in some Asian country. But when I applied for a 2nd time from back home in Kenya I was approved.
