Is it true that when applying for DTV as a Brit you only need to have had the 500k+ THB in your account for 1 month? And also to confirm I MUST 100% apply from my home country now, not a border run etc?

Thanks
Answer summary
The original question inquires about the requirements for applying for a DTV **(Digital Nomad Visa)** as a British citizen in Thailand, specifically asking if having 500,000 THB in the bank for just one month suffices and if they must apply from their home country without using a border run. Some comments discuss the visa's duration (90 days initially, then yearly) and other options like retirement visas for those over 50. There's also confusion among commenters regarding how to convert a tourist visa to a marriage-based Non-O visa, with differing advice on timeframes.

0 maintained since last 1 week and i know the rule says 2 months.

My question is how can convert tourist visa to NON O marriage visa. A lot of mixed answers i get is like 1 month first and then 12 months... others say 3 months first and then 12 months.

Can i please get a genuine advice and is it easy to do myself at the immigration?

kohsa9997 it’s a 90 day visa to start then yearly extension of stay. If you are newly married they may want you to have the marriage seasoned requiring you to apply from a neighbouring country or do a visa reset via a border crossing to get a new visa or exemption.

Retirement is an easier option if you don’t want a work permit provided you’re over 50 and can wear the extra deposit.

I just got approved through Los Angeles. Using my iPad, I took a picture of my passport data Paige a picture of my drivers license and a passport style picture of myself uploaded no problem JPG I guess. I took the first page of my last three months bank statements laid them side-by-side and scanned them in using the file application uploaded right at 3G’s in PDF form.

Thanks for your advise .

I’ve tried just transferring to my files location , on the iPad, and individually they are not so big.

It acts like the Thai Visa app doesn’t work with the iPad Air device?

Any thoughts on that situation?

Has anyone has success using an iPad?

Thank you for your advice. H.

Hershel Hood Did you combine the PDFs? Sometimes apps make unnecessary large PDFs. A PDF is really just a container, or a box. If you put large things in it the box gets heavy. A bank statement PDF is typically small. If you use an app to take a picture of it, it usually grows in size
