Hi, I'm a South African on an ED visa and need to do an extension next week. My passport is full and I have requested a new passport from my embassy in March. Its apparently on it's way but if it doesn't arrive by next week, what are my options?
I've been advised to either overstay, which I feel with everything going on is the worst option.
Or do I go with a letter from my embassy and explain my situation and hope they can help find a place for me visa (I have about half page free and could possibly get the visa placed there but I'm not sure it's enough space.)

TLDR : Answer Summary
A South African expat on an ED visa is facing a dilemma as their new passport has not yet arrived, and they need to extend their visa soon. The options discussed include avoiding overstaying, considering an emergency passport from the embassy, and using a small space in the current passport for the visa stamp. Community members advise against overstaying and suggest bringing a letter from the embassy and necessary school documents to explain the situation to immigration.
if she goes with all the documents of the school and Immigration finds a way to fit in the stamp on some clear page, she would get the normal Extension of Stay for 60 or 90 days depending on her school. Problem is that it can take more than 6 months to get a new passport and within 3 months the same question shows up again. I think the best option is to use these small free spaces to go back home and apply for a new passport.
with the correct paperwork from School or University they surely will help you get the extension into your passport. However without supporting paperwork they will give you only a 7 day denial stamp, means the extension is VOID.
no. The possible added 7 days would be an extension denied by Thai Immigration...fee is 1,900 Thai baht to make application for a 30 days extension...which would be denied.
