What alternative documents can I use for address verification for my DTV application as a US citizen in Thailand?

DTV Address Verification (US Citizen)

The Thai Consulate (e-visa) requested a utility bill or driver's license for address verification to process my DTV. My driver's license is from another state and all the utility bills are in my dad's name.

Does anyone have any experience using alternative documents for address verification?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A US citizen applying for a DTV visa through the Thai Consulate faces challenges providing address verification. They lack a local utility bill and have a driver's license from another state, prompting inquiries about alternative documents. Community members suggest using a bank statement, confirming the relationship between the address and the selected consulate, or providing documentation like notarized letters or Google Maps screenshots to validate their current address.

So you are physically in the US right now? I believe this is what they want to confirm. A utility bill or DL is a proxy for this. If you donโ€™t have, maybe have a letter notarized that you are physically there

Use Google maps to show exactly where you are located while making the application.

Use that adress on the application form.

Take a screenshot and send it to them.

You are a NOMAD so they expect you to move around.

๐Ÿ˜. . Thai Immigration??? I guess you meant "Thai Embassy" or "Thai Consulate". The institution where you apply for the DTV E-visa

Ok Thai Consulate. Thanks

If the state of your drivers license matches the embassy you chose, then just use it even if it's not your current address. But if the address doesn't match the embassy you are using then I'm not sure how to proceed. Do you have a bank statement with your address on it?

A Cambodian entry stamp in your passport and a hotel receipt from your checkin.

how is that passable if you are a US citizen and applying outside the US? Is this some workaround or unwritten rule? If so is it applicable to everyone?

I don't understand what you are asking. E-visa doesn't change anything about applying for a visa except that it's online. You still must apply through the Thai embassy that services where you are physically at. Bob asked a question about applying through the Thai embassy in Phnom Penh while he is physically in Cambodia, which is how you are required to do it. You cannot apply through a US Thai embassy unless you are in the US. When you start the application it asks you where you are at, and if you don't put that you are in the US it will not let you proceed.

I submitted a bank statement and credit card statement with my US address on it. They still requested additional documentation. I recently submitted a tax form too, but I can just feel it that they're going to come back asking for more and I want to be prepared.
