DTV Approved from the Embassy in Los Angeles:

Applied on August 27

Approved on Sept. 19

Things I included:

*A cover letter stating my remote work, reason for wanting visa, and not only the documents I was including, but other documents I could provide if asked (such as tax documents, full portfolio, my employee contract, etc.) 

*Screenshot of bank account with current balance of needed funds and my name 

*Other recent paystubs showing continual income 

*A Remote Work Contract letter that I drafted and had my employer sign, stating my release to work remote and my role & responsibilities working remote. 

Hope this helps! Going to apply for my husband and daughter now.

Do you have to show proof of yr current location such as utility bills in your name with the current location address?

yes all the normal requirements of proof of address, passport, photo, etc.

to LA…waiting. Do I understand you right that you just told them you could supply tax docs, etc, but did not do so and you were not asked for more than you initially submitted? Thanks

yes that’s correct. In the cover letter I provided, I listed some extra documents I could provide, but they didn’t ask me for anything extra

Be sure to PRINT OUT SEVERAL COPIES of the Evisa email you received to show Thai Immigration Officers upon arrival into Thailand during the 5 years that the DTV visa is valid.
