A little help please.

UK Passport holder, just renewed January 2020.

12 month extension of stay, due for renewal 5th February 2020.

Buriram Immigration Office.

Should I transfer my current extension into the new passport now or can I wait till renewal of my extension of stay and complete it all at that time

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is a UK passport holder seeking advice on whether to transfer a 12-month extension of stay from an old passport to a new one right away or to wait until the extension is renewed. Comments suggest that transferring the extension now is possible, especially as the user is close to the renewal date, provided they bring necessary documentation to the immigration office.

Wow
@Tod ********
super fast response!

Thanks for you advice. Think I will head down to immigration at the end of the week.

Thanks for your help.

Seeing as in Buriram you can apply for a new extension of stay when you have 45 days left on your current extension, you can go for the extension now if you want to.

Take the old passport, the new passport AND that letter from your consulate stating you got a passport renewed inside the country along with all your extension documentation and you'll be fine.
