Should I request a confirmation letter from my company about being a remote independent contractor before applying for a visa in Thailand?

I am a 1099 independent contractor as a sales agent for one company in the US. It doesn't say anywhere on the contract explicitly that I am a remote worker, but I am 100% remote and never even met any coworker or anyone from the company in person. Is my contract enough or should I get another official letter from the company explicitly stating that I am an independent contractor? I'm likely going to apply from Hanoi. Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
As a 1099 independent contractor working remotely, it's advisable to obtain an official letter from your company explicitly stating that you are authorized to work remotely while in Thailand. This will help clarify your status and avoid potential issues with immigration authorities when applying for your visa from Hanoi.

I would get a letter stating explicity you can work remotely from Thailand.

You should ask your company for a letter to tell you can do your work remotely.
