Should I reapply for my DTV in Hanoi after a rejection due to an address error?

Hello everyone,

I posted here recently about my DTV rejection in Hanoi. I applied under the Soft Power category for a Muay Thai course through an agency. Today I noticed that the agency made an error in my application: in my home address (in Dutch), the word “street” was missing the first letter “S”. Because of this, my home address was technically incorrect.

I’ve already emailed the embassy to ask for the specific reason for the rejection, but I strongly suspect it may be due to this detail.

My questions are:

1. Does it make sense to reapply again in Hanoi, considering the mistake can now be corrected?

2. Is there any point in going to the embassy in person to ask if they can fix this small error and reconsider my application?

3. I really prefer to enter Thailand with the DTV already approved, rather than coming in on a tourist entry and reapplying months later. Has anyone had experience with this?

Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated. Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user discusses their recent rejection of a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) application due to a minor error in their home address. They are seeking advice on whether to reapply, if a personal visit to the embassy could help rectify the issue, and share their preference for entering Thailand with an approved DTV instead of a tourist visa. Comments suggest that minor data errors may not necessarily lead to rejection, hinting at other possible reasons for denial.

How long was the course? Did the gym supply accreditation certificates?

There seems to be a trend of agency supported applications being denied recently.

Usually a data error like a misspelling leads to a cancellation, not a rejection. Therefore, I don’t think this is the issue.

Anonymous participant See, based on past trends:

Cancellation means that details were wrongly entered.

Rejection means that application didn't meet the criteria.

Let's wait for other people to comment too.

So, may be you need to share more details about your application so that people can collectively help you.

thank you so much for helping me. I applied for DTV VISA through a agency and I just saw that they made a mistake with my home address in the application. There was one letter missing so I’m guessing that this is the reason why I got rejected because my multi documents are good. I know this pretty sure and bankstataments as well. I am now thinking if it would make sense to reapply at the same embassy if it was only the mistake of my home address.

It is usually not recommended to apply again from the same country but this is the feedback I got from my agency

Anonymous participant Share details about your application please example

- Nationality

- 500,000 THB for how many months

- Past travel history etc

The mail says rejected. If typo was the reason then it should have said cancelled.

Let's wait for other people to comment too.

I'm sorry about this situation.
