How long should I wait before re-applying for a Thai DTV visa after two rejections?

Hi everyone, I need some advice about re-applying for a Thai DTV visa.

I had two recent rejections:

• One application was submitted in Cambodia

• One application was submitted in Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh)

The situation became complicated because of an agent’s mistake:

After the Cambodia application was delayed, the agent cancelled it and immediately submitted a new one in Ho Chi Minh, so both processes overlapped.

Just to clarify: both applications were submitted while I was outside Thailand — first in Cambodia, then in Vietnam after I flew there

Now I want to apply by myself, without any agent.

My questions:

How long should I wait after two rejections before applying again?

Is there any official cooling-off period in the Thai system?

Does it matter which country I apply from (Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia)?

Any real experience or advice would be greatly appreciated. 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on re-applying for a Thai DTV visa after two recent rejections due to an agent's mistake with overlapping applications in Cambodia and Vietnam. They ask about the waiting period for reapplication, any official cooling-off period, and the significance of applying from a specific country. Comments advise that there is no formal cooling-off period, clarify that applicants must be physically present in the country from which they are applying, and suggest using specific services to aid in the visa application process.

Sorry about this situation.

Considering you are aware of the rules and regulations, there is no specified cooling off period. Just be patient please.

You do realize you need to be in the country that you are applying via? You can’t apply while in Thailand and would need to be physically in Cambodia if applying via Phnom Penh or in Vietnam if applying there. You declare that at the beginning of your application, so if you had two overlapping, you lied to the MoFA. You are making it harder and harder on yourself to get approval in the future

DTV_BegPecker I did NOT apply from inside Thailand.

First I applied while I was in Cambodia. When it got delayed, I flew to Vietnam, and the agent cancelled the Cambodia file and started a new one in Ho Chi Minh.

So both applications were from outside Thailand.

Anonymous participant in your post you ask which country you should apply from (Thailand, Cambodia or Vietnam), which directly implies that you are thinking about applying while in Thailand, since you listed it. You also state that you got two rejections but now say your agent canceled one, which is different than a rejection. However, not sure there is a process to cancel. How did they do that? Was your second application rejected because you still had an application in Cambodia?

Anonymous participant Not just outside of Thailand to apply but you need to stay put in that country the ENTIRE time once you submitted your application until final decision!
