TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, as a Canadian passport holder wanting to stay in Thailand for 90 days, you need to apply for a tourist visa before your arrival. This will typically grant you an initial 60-day stay, which can be extended for an additional 30 days at an immigration office in Thailand. Additionally, applying through the Thai e-visa website is recommended, as consulates no longer offer in-person visa services.

What passport do you hold. Different countries have different entitlements.

You apply for a visa through the evisa website. You are not allowed to go to a consulate in a country that uses evisa. They no longer offer in-person services and will deny you entry. Your visa arrives via email.

If you want to stay 90 consecutive days inside Thailand, you'll need to apply for and receive a tourist visa before you depart. This will get you 60 days in Thailand which you can extend for 30 days at an immigration office.
