Hello everybody !

I tried to read some of your questions and didn't find an answer for me.

I have two questions :

1) Can I come in Bangkok (or any other interesting Cities in Thailand) without Visa in the next weeks ?

2) I want to stay live there, few months minimum at least.

I've heard about STV, but it seems like coming from Canada doesn't allow me to apply for the Visa.

What Visa can I have just to stay there few months ?

No need to work for now, I'll be doing my little business online.

I just want to come ASAP, but properly and do all is needed.

Thank you !

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Canadian citizen can enter Thailand without a visa for 45 days on a visa-exempt entry stamp, but must obtain a Certificate of Entry from a Thai consulate. If planning to stay longer, this stamp can be extended by 30 days at a local immigration office. There are no specific visas for conducting online business while in Thailand, so the options are limited.

I don't see the purpose in keeping this post open. I gave you the links on how to enter and stay in Thailand. If you don't meet the requirements, then you can't stay longer :(

It is what it is. If you find a visa that meets your needs, and you want the post reopen, send a mod a message.

Honestly, I would stay in your home country until the land borders reopen and COVID-19 is (finally) over.

In addition to Ben's comment.

The Single-entry Tourist Visa, allows a stay of 60 days and can be extended once + 30 days

NB - Don't confuse with the Special Tourist Visa, which has many more constraints and plenty of negative feedback.

No working permitted as a tourist.

so the best for now would be a simple tourist visa ?

@Samuel ******
if you are coming as a tourist, for less than three months and not working, most probably yes.

the goal would be to stay longer if all goes well, if I can't I might go in vietnam or countries next to Thai, but basically I'd like to go live around there for as long as I can

I decided to let this post on:

>1) Can I come in Bangkok (or any other interesting Cities in Thailand) without Visa in the next weeks ?

Canadians are allowed a 45 day visa exempt entry stamp. To allow entry, you will need a Certificate of Entry issued by the local Thai consulate. Getting this Certificate of Entry is outside the scope of the group; search Facebook for one of the many “farang stranded aboard” groups.

> I want to stay live there, few months minimum at least.

You can extend a 45 day visa exempt by another 30 days at the local immigration office. However, there is no “doing my little business online” visa/ extension of stay. This group will not do research for you. You can check out these three websites and see if there is a visa that is best for you.
