TLDR : Answer Summary
There is no strict limit on how often one can visit Thailand; however, entry is ultimately at the discretion of the immigration officer. Frequent visits within a short timeframe can raise suspicions, especially if one appears to be staying longer than a typical tourist. It's recommended to have proof of onward travel and a hotel booking to reassure officials of your tourist status.

How can they expect a tourist to see all of Thailand in 60 or 90 days. It's impossible especially for an older person. I love the people, islands and temples.

Should be based on revenue brought in.

90% men's game 10% women's game. Wages should be according, oh wait, they are lol.

Since November 2023. I have stayed in Thailand almost always except every 4 months or so I fly back to America to see the grandkids. I get the 60 day exemption then get a 30 day extension. Then I cross over to Laos for a couple days and get another 60 days and then back to America for another month or so and come back and start the whole process over again. I have to admit I've been nervous the last two times because of how many times I've done it but have never had a problem

I'm going back to America the first of May but I've gotten married to a wonderful Thai woman so when I come back this time I will have nonim O visa and in 90 days get a family marriage Visa and hopefully it will be easier now

ok ๐Ÿ‘ thank you ๐Ÿ™ can you renew this

@Alan **********
not renew but get a 12 month extension by meeting the requirements including financial (400k) or a 60 day "Visit Thai Family" extension with no financial requirements

I have been in Thailand, consistently in and out, for 2.5 years all on Tourist Visa (Technically Visa free period). If I was stamped in for 30 days I applied for a 30 day extension and was never declined. I have never overstayed at any time. If I was stamped in for 60 days I took the 60 and no extension. I never buy a return ticket as I dont know exactly when I'm going back. I'd usually come back to Australia for a month or so, or Singapore for a couple weeks, one time Penang for 4 days. Last Thursday I was declined entry ,, was taken upstairs at CNX and put in a holding room, 3 staff outside ensuring I didn't do a runner. I was then handed an invoice for 10,330 thb, for my Scoot flight back to Singapore leaving at 1700 hrs that day. I was advised for me to be re-admitted to Thailand again I would require: 1. A visa from the Thai Embassy in Australia. 2. A return ticket. 3. Immediate access to 20,000 thb or cash to the value of. 4. Proof of residence (hotel address whatever.) TMR30. I had my photo taken standing between 2 paramilitary style, beret wearing chaps. I got the impression the Supervisor wanted a scalp. Nothing I said made any difference.

I hope this helps I know that it can get confusing but just stay within the rules and regulations and you should be alright

@David ********
what rules and regulations? Have you ever seen a law stating how many times you can cross by land to Thailand on a visa exemption, or fly in? Also, how many days can you spend in the country on a visa exemption, or a tourist visa? No one knows the answers to these questions
Malcolm *******
You won't have a problem mate . Just make sure you have an onward ticket ,

Baht and a hotel or condo booking receipt.

It's obvious to anyone your a tourist ๐Ÿ˜‰

If this is your third visit within a 12 month period, the Immigration officer could easily believe that you are no longer a tourist and could deny you entry unless you have a visa valid for the reason of your stay. Be warned.

@Paul ******
stayed 29 days across February to March, stayed 7 weeks across end of July to early September, then 4 weeks end of November into December last year, didnโ€™t have an issue.

It is definitely at the sole discretion of the I.O you encounter at the arrivals hall wherever you enter, but as others have mentioned, the I.Oโ€™s can see when you are keeping tourist movements as opposed to those the try to abuse the visa exempt system.

@Paul ******
Visa Exempt is the correct entry stamp for stays of that duration ;)

@Graham *****
As long as the Immigration officer, after reviewing the posters stay history, accepts that she continues to be a tourist. Otherwise he will deny her entry.

Do you class someone that stays between 8 and 14 days per visit 3 times a year not a tourist? If so what is?

Brandon ************
There is no limit. It's at the discretion of the immigration officer you are standing in front of. The limit is as many times as they let you. But you won't have any issues with what you've stated. The people that have issues are those who have spent 3-6 months in Thailand and try to return soon after leaving again. The amount of time in Thailand is much more relevant than the number of entries.
