Is it true concerning Visa Exempt 30 day visa

That they are limiting entries in a calendar year.

I have been traveling to Thailand — typically a couple trips a year =

I arrive and leave (no extensions) usually twice in a trip.

Example arrive January- stay 3 weeks+ and leave for a couple week trip somewhere else in SE Asia and then return to Thailand for another 3 weeks and the return to USA.

And then later in the year do a similar travel.

In the past it’s never been a problem =

I have Lots of “stamps” in my current passport.

My last trip was January & February— Thailand & Indonesia

Looking at August - October

Thailand & Vietnam

TLDR : Answer Summary
There is no official legal limit on the number of Visa Exempt entries by air into Thailand, but immigration officers have discretion and may scrutinize entry frequency if you're spending too much time in the country. The Thai government is focusing on preventing abuse of visas, typically from those overextending their stays or frequently re-entering via land borders, which are limited to two per year. As long as you maintain a tourist-like behavior, such as spending a few weeks at a time, you should be fine.

Only land entries are limited to two per year. As long as at least two out of those four entries from nearby countries are by air, you're good.

However, keep in mind that the land entries limit is strict. You really do need to fly if you've used them.

you should have no problem. Prior to getting my LTR. I would have 8-10 visa exempt entries per year I never had a problem.

The twice a year rule is for land crossings.. As indicated above, the Thai government is trying to keep out low-rent long term stayers, you are clearly not that.

Just keep doing what you're doing. You are clearly not living in Thailand so you've got nothing to worry about

Land crossings are 2 a year.

By air is up to the discretion of the immigration officer.

And more than 2 by air is not usually a problem.

Immigration are just trying to get people who are abusing the tourist Visa with extensions and going in and out the country constantly. Not people who are here for only a few weeks

There's no legal limit written into law concerning how many times you can enter using visa exempt by air. It's going to be at the discretion of the immigration officer you are standing in front of.

It's true they've become much more strict, but it's mostly about how long you spend in Thailand, not how many times you enter. If you're only staying for a few weeks on a couple or entries, doing this twice per year shouldn't present any red flags to the immigration officer. Your behavior looks like an actual tourist, especially since you're not maximizing every entry by using 30 days and getting a 30 day extension on top.

Thanks

That’s what I’m thinking.

Actual tourist behavior

No extensions

No border hopping- out & right back in
