Hi just returned back to the uk after being in Thailand for 11weeks added a 30 day to my original 60 days on entry. That was the 4th visit in the last 12/14 months. Last previous visits was 30 days per visit. How long do I have to wait before I can return. Without getting turned away from the Thai immigration?

TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user asked about the wait time before returning to Thailand after four visits within 12-14 months. Responses highlight that there is no definitive answer as it varies by immigration officer discretion. While theoretically one can return immediately, obtaining the appropriate visa for the intended stay is advisable to avoid complications. Past travel history may influence the officer's decision on entry.

Nothing is guarenteed until you have passed Immigration control on arrival, since it is solely up to the discretion of the Immigration Officer in front of you.

Just get the proper visa for your purpose of stay and you don't have to wait.

Visa exempt is for tourists, and I think with 3 visits of a month and one visit of 3 months in about a year time it might be difficult to make an immigration officer believe you are a tourist, but you just might have some luck.

there isn't always a correct visa which means you don't get to go there.

In theory you can return immediately, however no one can predict what the Immigration Officer will do, they may let you in they may not. Basically it's a 'how long is a piece of string?' question.

Worst case scenario ! If that was to happen. Can you opt to fly elsewhere ? Such as Vietnam or Cambodia

Or do you have to return back to where you’ve came from?

It can be the airline that brought you to Thailand, that also have to remove you from Thailand, if refused entry.

my daughter left Thailand yesterday morning to fly to Cambodia and then had another flight to re enter Thailand the same day in the evening

She was stopped by immigration and was made to book a flight home (Greece) for 60 days time

Initially they were telling her she would need to leave immediately

She was in Thailand last year and had no issue doing this by land border Thailand to Laos, however she did pay a fee to an agent to take them over and back

2024.

And the best chances to get in, is when can document onward ticket before the end of the visa exempt period, 20.000 Baht in cash, and a hotel booking.

using a land border bounce agency is always going to be the best and safest method to get a new stamp

the worst case scenario is they make you buy a ticket back to your passport country. But it's at their discretion if they let you fly somewhere else instead.

Again, that will depend on Immigration. You'll probably have the choice because you haven't actually entered the Country.

No one can answer that question. It's up to the individual immigration officer that you will be standing in front of when you are entering. One might say it's okay while another might not.

Here is a post from a mod about the topic:

they could do either one. It's up to the immigration officer at their discretion.

yes I know that but have you heard of cases where somebody was actually been refused to entry into Thailand on this basis and had to get on the next plane home or go to a different country? What is the percentage of that happening other than the immigration officer saying next time you need a Visa.
