Hi there all. This visa amnesty, does it apply to Ed visas? I have to extend for another year at the beginning of May. According to what I’ve read, I don’t need to go and extend now until July. Is this correct?

Thanks.

Answer summary

The individual is questioning whether the current visa amnesty applies to Education (ED) visas and if they can delay their extension until July, despite needing to extend at the beginning of May. One commenter advises against relying on the amnesty and recommends proceeding with the normal extension process.

You are not correct, IF you are on a long term extension (like extending an ED visa a year at a time due to study) GO and get your extension like normal.

DO not fool with the hare-brained amnesty program IF you can avoid it.
