Can I do my 90-day report online in Thailand instead of visiting Immigration in person?

Has anyone managed to do the 90-day report online inside Thailand instead of going to Immigration? I moved to a place that’s over an hour from the office and I’m trying to handle it digitally. Has anyone succeeded?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The initial 90-day report in Thailand must be done in person, especially upon first entry or after returning from an international trip. Subsequent reports can be completed online or via mail, provided all necessary conditions are met, such as proper address registration through TM30. While there are mixed opinions on the effectiveness of the online system, it has reportedly worked for some, although the first in-person requirement remains a key aspect of the reporting process.
90 DAY REPORTING RESOURCES / SERVICES
  • Use the trusted Thailand 90 Day Reporting Serviceto get your in-person report done and mailed to you for as low as 375 THB (even if the online system doesn't work for you).
  • For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
  • Join the Thai Visa Advice Facebook Group to ask your questions, and get advice from others.

1st time must be in person … only thereafter online but irrelevant for DTV as you will most likely leave at Day 180 to reset the stay

The on line system works just fine and takes a few seconds. The most common reason for rejection is because tm30 address dies not tally with address entered. If you travel around the country hotels will do tm30 for you so when you return to your main residence you need to register tm30. If you don't then 90 day report will be rejected. There is no need whatsoever to seek the help of an agent for tm 30 or tm47.

Works for me every time.

1st time in person

What is 1st time

1st time is 1st time

1st time is anytime you return from an international trip you must show up in person….also 1st time is also if you get a new passport and the ID number changes

If you ding want to do a 90 day report just travel every <89 days

Good luck

You can do it via mail ✉️ it counts as ‘in person’. I’ve done it a few times. Providing you send it at the right time there’s no issue. It’s never been rejected.

I leave Thailand every 180 days, and when I return I always do the 90-day report in person at Immigration. So there’s no point in using the online system - every cycle will always be one in-person 90-day report, then I leave the country again.

Anonymous participant yes, exactly this.

But you can find out if your immigration office allows you to file by mail. Many do and it counts as an in-person filing.

DTV can never do online UNLESS you get visa extension for original 180 stamp. In which case 90 day reporting can be done online the first 90 day reporting after the visa extension.

However, getting DTV extension is as much if not more work than getting the original visa.

Most people are just going out of Thailand and back in for a new 180 day stamp. In which case the 90 day reporting will always have to be done in person at the local immigration office

A couple of weeks ago. No haven't travelled and re-entered. But wouldn't see how that is an issue. I mean, I did receive a receipt of notification that's approved. All seems fine. From applying to receiving approval took about 1.5 hours.

Had never done it before, but figured why not try online before spending half a day travelling up and down to immigration. Worked like a charm.

Are you sure? They usually send a notification saying that they received your information successfully, but that’s not an approval. The denial or approval takes at least one day in my experience, check your email again (check spam)

And this is what it says on the approval document.

Looks pretty done to me. Unless I'm missing something here. But approved in the app + a future noticiation date + signatures by immigration office seem about what this is all about?

Mind you I've never done the in person one. So can't speak to that.

NOW when you leave Thailand and reenter Thailand you will need to file a TM30 address registration at your local Thai Immigration office.

Anonymous participant with 90 day "first time" is relative to your current entry, not the visa. If you are on a DTV, leaving under 180 days, it's always your first time. If you did it early on your current entry and you need to do a second before the 180 day, or if you extended, yes you can use the online system for a second 90 day report on your current entry stamp.
